Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professor for the Department of Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing, conducting research, and providing leadership and guidance to students and colleagues.
Responsibilities
Teaching: You will be responsible for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows about OBG. You will develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and hands-on training sessions to help students understand the principles and practices of OBG. Curriculum development: You will work with other faculty members to develop and revise the OBG curriculum to ensure that it is up-to-date and reflects current best practices in the field. Research: You may conduct research in the field of OBG to contribute to the knowledge base and help advance the field. You may also mentor students who are interested in pursuing research in this area. Clinical care: You may be responsible for providing direct patient care in OBG clinics or hospitals, depending on the specific requirements of your position. Administration: You may serve on departmental or university committees to help with administrative tasks such as accreditation, faculty recruitment, and budget planning. Continuing education: You may be responsible for organizing and participating in continuing education programs for OBG professionals to help them stay up-to-date with new developments in the field. Outreach: You may participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about women's health issues and promote OBG education and care.
Qualifications
A PhD in Nursing or a related field A minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching and research in Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing A strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals A valid nursing registration Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation Eligible field: Maternal and Child Health, Women's Health, Reproductive Health.
