International Opportunities at JKKN
Exchange programs, semester abroad and international research
JKKN offers three types of international exchange — short-term faculty-led programs (2-4 weeks to UK, Singapore, Malaysia), semester exchange programs (4-6 months at partner universities), and research fellowship programs for postgraduate students (3-12 months at international research labs). Exchange opportunities exist across dental, pharmacy, nursing, engineering and management programs.
JKKN has active partnerships with — King's College London (dental research), University of Nottingham (nursing exchange), National University of Singapore (pharmacy research), Taylor's University Malaysia (business and hospitality), and several Gulf universities for medical exchanges. New partnerships are added each year based on student demand and research alignment.
Short-term faculty-led programs typically cost INR 1.5–3 lakhs including flights, accommodation and tuition. Semester exchanges cost INR 3–8 lakhs depending on destination country and duration. JKKN offers partial scholarships for deserving students (up to 50% of program cost) and connects families with education loan partners. Some partner universities waive tuition fees for JKKN exchange students.
Undergraduate students in years 2-4 with a minimum 75% academic record, no backlogs, and strong English communication are eligible. Selection is based on academic performance (40%), statement of purpose (25%), faculty recommendation (20%) and interview (15%). Post-graduate students with research alignment to the host lab have additional pathways through joint supervision agreements.
Yes. Credits earned at partner universities are pre-approved and transfer seamlessly back to JKKN transcripts as part of your regular degree completion. This means students can spend a semester abroad without extending their graduation timeline. All exchange programs are coordinated through the International Office to ensure credit compatibility before departure.
