Job Description

JKKN College of Arts and Science is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished individual to fill the position of Professor in the Department of Physics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for teaching and research, and will be committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative academic environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and teach courses in Physics at the undergraduate and graduate levels Conduct cutting-edge research in Physics and publish findings in reputable academic journals Secure funding for research activities from external sources Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers Participate in departmental and college committees and activities Provide mentorship to junior faculty and contribute to academic program development Collaborate with other departments and research institutions to advance interdisciplinary research initiatives Engage in community outreach and promote Physics education and research to the general public

Qualifications

PhD in Physics or a related field Record of excellence in research, demonstrated by publications in high-impact academic journals and successful grant applications Experience in teaching Physics at the undergraduate and graduate levels Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and research
