Job Description
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking applications for the position of Professor. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading research, teaching, and service in the department.
Responsibilities
Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science and Engineering. Conduct independent and collaborative research in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. Publish papers in top-tier journals and conferences. Obtain research grants and contracts from funding agencies and industry. Provide leadership in the development of the department's research agenda and curriculum. Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities. Engage in outreach activities to promote the college and the department.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field. A strong record of independent and collaborative research in the areas of Computer Science and Engineering. Proven ability to obtain research grants and contracts from funding agencies and industry. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and advising undergraduate and graduate students. Knowledge of current trends and advancements in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Eligible fields: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Computer Networks and Security Database Systems and Data Mining Software Engineering Computer Graphics and Visualization Distributed Systems and Cloud Computing Human-Computer Interaction Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval
