Assistant Professor

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Technology to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, conducting research, and providing guidance to students in the field of Information Technology. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of the departmental curriculum and research programs. The candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Teaching: You will be responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, conducting tutorials, grading assignments, and evaluating student performance. You may teach courses in areas such as programming, database management, networking, cybersecurity, and software engineering. Research: You will be expected to conduct research in your field of expertise and publish research papers in academic journals and conferences. You may also be responsible for securing research grants and funding. Mentoring and advising: You will be responsible for mentoring and advising students, helping them to develop academic and career goals and providing guidance on coursework, research projects, and internships. Service: You will be expected to serve on departmental and university committees, participate in professional organizations, and contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and policies. Professional development: You will need to stay up-to-date with new developments in your field, attend conferences and workshops, and collaborate with colleagues in research and teaching.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Information Technology or a related field is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching and/or research in the field of Information Technology. Strong research record and experience in publishing research papers in reputed journals and conferences. Experience in conducting research projects in the field of Information Technology. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
